Not Another ****** Christmas continued …

It’s only September and already we are being nagged about losing weight in time for the festive season. For goodness sake! But … if you’ve still got excess weight from lockdown and WFH and everything else that’s happened, now is the time to fix it. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? But when lives are still upside down from everything that is happening, it’s hard to prioritize losing weight. There are so many things to worry about: jobs, health, family, the economy, schooling … it’s a long list. Losing weight may not seem very important right now. It’s understandable. Other things must come first. You may even think it’s a selfish thing to concentrate on yourself when you should be concentrating on others. But what if it was possible to gently and easily lose weight while still giving 100% to all the other things in your life that need your full attention? And at the same time, find a peaceful balance in your mind so you are actually more able to deal with life’s stresses and worries.  If you can spare 10 - 30 minutes a day to work on losing weight, you can do it. This is 10 - 30 minutes that you can integrate into even the busiest schedules. Hemi-Sync®  meditations in the Slimmer and Healthier album have been designed to give a variety of listening experiences so you can fit this program into your day. And you don’t need to sacrifice any precious time that your conscience tells you should be spent doing some thing more important. During the 20 years I’ve worked with people who want to lose weight using hypnotherapy, the most pressing question is usually, “When can I fit this into my life?” I found that the answer was to redesign the elements of the program so they could be more concise and also introduce some tracks that were suitable for multi-tasking. The shortest track is no. 11, Affirmations. This track is perfect for a short blast of resolve at any time of the day. Most of us have downtime when we are waiting for something. Picking children up from school or waiting around while they do their after school activities can be productively used to listen to a track and spend the time in resourceful meditation. You’ll be set up for the rest of the day and your resolve will be increased exponentially. If you need to check through your messages or emails when you get home or during your lunch break, then play a track into your headphones while you do so. Your conscious mind will focus on your inbox while your subconscious enjoys the reinforcement of positive messaging about your weight loss journey. Tracks 1 and 3 are great for this. Lunchtime can often be a mad rush or … you can take your lunch somewhere quiet and peaceful (outdoors is great if the weather is nice) and listen to one of the tracks. Alternatively, you can do the Walking Meditation which is a thrifty 20 minutes and you get some welcome fresh air at the same time. You return to work energized and positive about everything in your life. If you are unsure that you can do this … just start. Begin with track 1. Listen every day for a few weeks and find out how that makes you feel. Follow the simple principles of the plan … eat less but enjoy it more. You have nothing to lose but your excess weight and you’ll gain so much in return. And by Christmas (!!!**???&&^^!!!) you’ll be so glad that you did start. Imagine being a couple of stones (28lbs) lighter by then. How will that make you feel? You can find out how that will feel when you listen to the Overcoming Obstacles track, which includes a section on progressing into the future to explore what being slim will feel like. You might imagine a Christmas scene that includes you and your loved ones. And you will be in a much slimmer body.  Your mind will then start to accept this imagined future as your destiny. Be curious about how this program can work on almost every one of your weight loss challenges. I’ve designed it carefully to be as complete as possible, yet still be relevant to everyone. Have fun … and start dreaming of a wonderful, slim Christmas and a slender rest of your life.
