Covid Blues continued … What use is hypnotherapy and meditation during a time of crisis? Why should you bother to continue with working on your thoughts and emotions when the world is in a state of emergency? During the last few weeks I’ve had several people contact me asking for help with anxiety. Many people already suffer with anxiety and this current situation has made it very difficult for them. It almost seems as if anxiety is the new normal for everyone. If you’re the kind of person who tends to be sensitive to the emotional states of others (empathetic people) then all this anxious and worried energy is no doubt settling into your own energy field. You’ve got all your own anxiety plus everyone else’s. That’s too much for anybody to bear. You can work on how you think and feel and bring down your anxiety levels by using the two powerful techniques that are utilised in the Slimmer and Healthier album. Hypnotherapy, using Hemi-Sync® audio which helps to calm the mind and bring about relaxed brain states. And energy therapy acutapping techniques such as EFT which is the basis for the Craving Control track. There are very sound reasons why everyone who is struggling at home in lockdown or working in our essential services should consider spending a little time on this inner work. 30 minutes per day relaxing using a hypnotherapy meditation will bring down stress, make you feel better, reset your baseline anxiety levels and support your immune response. That’s right, your immune response works better when you aren’t suffering from stress. And while you may think you can’t control this stress, I assure you it is possible with a little practice. If you’ve never tried energy therapies, now would be a good time to begin. Acutapping which can be done any time and anywhere can bring down anxiety and stress very quickly. It can be used in a crisis when you feel overwhelmed. 15 minutes of acutapping will take you from a peak of stress and worry towards calm and tranquillity. Or purchase one of the many good books that are available. It won’t be quite as good as working one-to-one with a therapist but you will still learn the technique and benefit from it.
